Choices-An Opinionated Survey of the Week's Events

Joe Ziolkowski: His athletic nudes twist and pout against stark white
backgrounds like espeically taut fashion hunks (you think Avedon before
Mapplethorpe here), but Ziolkowski is always putting his pretty boys (and,
this time, girls) at risk; if his work is about exceptional beauty, it's
also about precariousness, danger, and emotional rescue. Though a wall
of upside-down busts (classicism turned on its head) has the greatest impact,
all these figure studies demonstrate grace under pressure. Through November
