In this series titled "Toys of Power", I photographed artifacts from the permanent collection of The Museum of Science and Industry. These little stories play off the ambiguous nature of fiction and biography (truth, history, reality). The examination of these staged dramas and tableaux opens dialogue on what creates an individual, past, present and in the future.
The photographs will be on exhibit at The City Gallery, 806 North Michigan Avenue and Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611. Monday - Saturday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Sunday, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, October 8, 1999 - January 2, 2000.
